“He Lei Aloha no Honouliuli” is a quilt-inspired print by artist Lyza Mareko that brings Hiʻiaka’s journey across the ahupuaʻa of Honouliuli o ʻEwa to life—stretching from the Waiʻanae Mountains down to Puʻuloa (Pearl Harbor). As Hiʻiaka travels, she shares her affection through mele, naming the plants that hold meaning in the story, and this design reflects that same manaʻo by weaving together the pua and native vegetation that define Honouliuli’s landscape. For us, this polo is personal—it’s a wearable reminder of where we’re from, the aloha that lives in this ʻāina, and the connection between people, place, and story.
